Our first ever interview!

From the very beginning we wanted to bring our listeners not only the latest cruise news and information, but we also wanted to give you a chance to hear directly from the folks who work for the cruise lines.

This week we bring you Patricia’s interview with Lily Mendoza, who is a cast member with Disney Cruise Lines.  Lily is a true insider, must Disney guests won’t get to meet her as she deals primarily with travel agents.  However, she has a vast wealth of knowledge about DCL and we really couldn’t think of a better person to come and talk to us about the line.

Since we talk about Disney Cruise Line this week, it only made sense to have DCL the subject of our Deal of The Week, although it’s best described as a Deal for The Year sure to check it out.

We’ve got several stories in our cruise news show this week.  Oceania celebrates their fourth birthday, Princess and Cunard both get new Commodores, and Queen Victoria gets ready to float out of dry dock.  Max Mayfield from the National Hurricane Center will be sailing on Regent Sven Seas this year, Celebrity announces the name of their third planned Solstice class ship, Costa Serena’s naming to be held in Marseilles, and NCL America introduces a new hula program on their ships.

This week’s Deal of The Week can better be described as a Deal for The Year because it’s good throughout 2007.  Check out the details here.

As promised (or threatened depending on how you look at it ) we’re back from reruns with a brand new show! We take a quick look at some to the big cruise news stories from the two weeks we were away and then talk about some of the things we can expect in the next year.

You’ll find highlights of some of the new itineraries that will be available in 2007 and a run down of the new ships that will be entering service this year. Finally we make some predictions for the coming year, now these are merely guesses as to what might be coming from the cruise lines this year, and while we’d like to call them educated guesses, in the end our predictions in this episode are just pure speculation for entertainment purposes.

2007 is shaping up to be a very good year for us at Mail Buoy Central. We’ve got a few interviews with some true industry insiders lined up (one is currently in post production), our two really big groups getting ready to sail later this year, and also some new photos headed to the photo gallery and some new reviews coming as well.
