The 110,000-ton Carnival Freedom will operate a 14-day crossing departing Miami April 26, 2008 and a 16-day voyage departing Rome (Civitavecchia) November 6, 2008.

Currently in the final stages of construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, Carnival Freedom is slated to debut in Europe March 5, 2007, and will also operate Carnival’s European schedule in 2008.

14-Day Transatlantic Crossing in April 2008

Carnival Freedom will operate a 14-day transatlantic crossing departing Miami April 26 and arriving Rome (Civitavecchia) May 10, 2008. The voyage offers a diversity of magnificent ports of call, with extended visits to four distinctly different destinations. Featured on the itinerary are daylong calls at St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles; Funchal (Madeira), Portugal; Malaga, Spain; and Livorno, Italy. The voyage will serve to position Carnival Freedom for its previously announced 2008 European cruise season operating May – October.

16-Day Transatlantic Crossing in November 2008

Following its 2008 European cruise schedule, Carnival Freedom will operate a 16-day transatlantic crossing departing Rome (Civitavecchia) November 6 and arriving Fort Lauderdale, Fla., November 22, 2008.

During this cruise, guests will have an opportunity to explore a variety of exciting destinations, each offering interesting cultures and historical attractions and landmarks. Five ports are featured on this crossing – Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga, Spain; Las Palmas, Canary Islands – Carnival’s first call at this scenic destination; and St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles.

‘Fun Ship’ Facilities and Features

One of the largest cruise ships at sea, Carnival Freedom will offer a host of innovative facilities and features, including a 270-square-foot LED screen on Lido deck displaying movies, concerts and other programming, along with “100 percent bow-to-stern” wireless Internet access, and cell phone service.

Also featured will be a 13,300-square-foot health and fitness center, four swimming pools, Carnival’s signature “Twister Waterslide,” and “Camp Carnival” and “Club O2,” with supervised activities and expansive facilities for children and teens, respectively. Dining options will include two two-level main dining rooms, a 1,400-seat casual poolside eatery and an upscale reservations-only supper club, along with a patisserie and 24-hour stateroom service.

A wide range of spacious accommodation categories are available, many with private balconies – ideal for scenic Caribbean and European cruising.

Pricing and Reservations

Reservations are currently being accepted for the Carnival Freedom’s 14- and 16-day transatlantic crossing taking place in 2008. Prices for the 14-day crossing departing April 26, 2008, begin at $699 per person while the 16-day transatlantic crossing departing November 6, 2008 starts at $849 per person.

Special rates for third and fourth guests staying in the same stateroom, along with round-trip air supplements, are also available.
